A Note From Our Principal:
During this month of November with Thanksgiving around the corner, it’s only fitting to find time to give thanks and I want to start with a HUGE THANK YOU to our auction team!
The event this past Saturday night was such a magical evening! Our chairs Debbie Bakkensen and Kenzie D’Ambrosio, and their incredible team of volunteers pulled out all the stops for an event that is truly one for the record books. Through their collective effort, we were able to raise the funds that provide the means necessary to not only maintain our excellent school, but to help us continue to grow and provide a stellar academic program for our students and the SJF community. Thanks to all the volunteers, attendees and donors for your generous support of time, treasure and talent. I cannot say “Thank You” enough!
Next, I would like to say thank you to our Veterans! This morning our 7th and 8th grade students celebrated Veterans Day with a special Mass, speeches, songs, and ceremony to honor those who have faithfully served our free nation. Additionally, they had the opportunity to Skype with Brigadier General Erik Peterson Commander of U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command, who is our librarian, Mrs. Amy Richards brother. Check out our Facebook page for photos of this ceremony. We honor and thank you!
This Sunday from 10am till noon, our local Knights of Columbus will be offering a pancake breakfast. This free-will offering meal is a great way to support our fellow parishioners in their ministry.
Looking ahead to next week, we will give thanks as a community at our annual Thanksgiving Feast, Wednesday, November 18th from 11:30-12:30. If you are available to assist in the kitchen, please contact Ken Weston at email@example.com.
Enjoy the Veterans Holiday!
