Principal’s News Week of Dec. 15th

A Note From Our Principal:
Christmas greetings! As we enter the third week of Advent, the air around our school is sure filled with holiday spirit. Last Friday marked the official end of our St. Vincent de Paul food drive. We collected thousands of canned food that will feed those in our local Southwest Portland community. The class that collected the most cans was the 3rd grade with almost 1,000! The 7th and 8th grade students will be helping our St. Vincent de Paul group put together the food boxes next Thursday and Friday for delivery on Saturday. If you are interested in helping pack boxes, feel free to join us Friday night at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. Father Richard will bless the food on Saturday morning at 9:45am and delivery will begin shortly after the blessing. Thanks again for your generous donations in service to our greater Southwest Portland community.

This Wednesday, December 16th at 6:30pm is our K-4 Christmas program in our church. Students are asked to arrive at 6pm and report to the parish hall (room under the church). Dress for this fun event is Christmas/Sunday best clothing. See you there!

In closing, on behalf of all at SJF, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the best for 2016!
