Principal’s News Week of March 15th

I would like to begin with a tremendous “Grazie” to all who volunteered to make the Spaghetti Dinner this past Sunday such a fantastic event! Students, parents, alumnae, and parish members volunteered their time, treasure and talent to putting together this event and I am extremely grateful. I would like to give special recognition to the chairs of the event, Evan and Jenn Reynolds and their team of cooks, decorators and behind-the scenes helpers that made the night such a success! Thanks for celebrating our parish and school communities!

In preparation for next week’s spring break vacation, we have a number of events happening at St. John Fisher this that I wanted to bring to your attention:

Tonight is the annual Literacy Fair . Kindergarten through Eighth grade students will be proudly displaying projects they have completed for family and friends from 6:30-7:30. Students should report to their own Literacy Fair project from 6:30-7:00pm. Then, from 7:00-7:30, students, with their parents, are free to view other classes projects. We ask that all projects are taken home at the end of the evening.

Thursday, March 17th: In the spirit of St. Patrick, students are welcome to wear “green” themed free dress. We will celebrate with an assembly at 10:45am in the gym. Additionally, our Men’s Club will be hosting a traditional St. Patrick’s Day Dinner for their members at 7pm. All dads, grandparents and friends (over 21 years old please) are welcome to come.

Friday, March 20th: The 8th grade will head out to join hundreds of soon-to-be Catholic school graduates at the Annual Archbishop Sample Mass at the Cathedral. Following the Mass, they will head over to the Grotto for a special tour and lunch.

As we look to the week following spring break, you should have received an email from FACTS informing you of an automatic withdrawal on Friday, April 1st for the $200 per student textbook/registration fee. If you wish to change the bank account or credit card that is associated with your FACTS account, please contact them directly at 1-866-441-4637 before next Friday, March 25th.

Have a wonderful Easter vacation with family and friends!
