Principal’s News Week of June 7th

We have some wonderful news to share with you concerning a matching grant to our Growing To Serve Capital Campaign. The Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund has awarded St John Fisher a $50,000 matching grant. This means that for every new pledge and donation that we receive at this time, they will match up to $2,500 per pledge or donation until we reach $50,000! This matching endorsement is just the infusion we need to help us reach our campaign financial goals!!

Now is the time when we really need every parishioner and school family’s help. Whether you are actively supporting the campaign or haven’t quite made a decision yet, we need your help. I’d like to ask each and every one of you to please consider a donation. If the idea of a multi-year pledge is too daunting, please consider a one-time gift. If you’ve already given, perhaps you’d consider adding an additional year to your pledge.

I am pleased to announce that our very own Altar Guild has put up the first $5,000 toward this Matching Gift. With the recent good news, they were the first to come forward to help us reach our goal.

The Building Committee has been busy working on city building permits and land-use requirements. They are navigating the process and hope to have those finalized by end of summer. If all goes well with both funding and building permits, we might be able to announce a construction start date in September!

Very shortly, a message will be sent to your home asking for you to please consider a gift. I ask that you prayerfully consider the request and make your decision soon.

Thank you for your consideration as we enter into this final phase of our campaign.
