Everything You Wanted To Know

Week of January 15, 2018

A Note From Our Principal:

Throughout this week our students will be participating in our annual Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart fundraiser for the American Heart Association.  Thank you for your support of this great cause!

Next Wednesday,  Jan. 24, we welcome parenting coach Kim DeMarchi who will speak at our PTC General Meeting starting at 6:30pm.  You can find more information regarding her approach to empowered parenting on her website  As a special incentive from our PTC, those in attendance will be given 1 free drink ticket for the Spaghetti Dinner on Sunday, March 11th.  See you then!

As we look ahead to Catholic Schools Week at the end of the month, here are some events you will want to make sure you have on your calendar:

  • Saturday, Jan 27: Men’s Club BINGO at 5:30pm in the cafeteria.
  • Sunday, Jan 28: Kindergarten Round Up at 10am
    • If you know anyone interested in SJF, please encourage them to attend.  A flyer is attached to the SAM today so feel free to pass along to any prospective families.
  • Monday, Jan 29: Open House at 6:30pm
    • This evening is open to all families looking at K-8.  It is more structured than the round up, so we highly encourage parents only, or kids if transferring into an older grade level (teacher presentation for approx. 30-45 min and tour of school)
  • Wednesday, Jan 31: Grandparents Day
    • Invitations will be mailed out later this week so please return your Grandparents/Special Friends address into the office by tomorrow (address request attached if you need an extra copy).

Spaghetti Dinner News

Are you working on organization this year, or trying to keep those resolutions?  Let the Spaghetti Dinner team help!!!  Please bring in any New Toys that you received during the holidays that perhaps you just don’t need in your house or have one already and donate it to the Spaghetti Dinner Raffle. Win/Win… purge and give to the raffle!

Is that AMAZING bottle of Red wine staring at you while you are not drinking for your cleanse or Resolution Reset??  We will happily take it OFF your hands!! Any Red wine that you are not drinking this month can be donated to our Spaghetti Dinner and we would SO appreciate it!

We will set up a box in the entryway of the school on Tuesday January 16th for you to drop off these items!!

For EACH item donated, you can choose to receive 5 RAFFLE TICKETS for use the night of the Spaghetti Dinner!!!  However, if you donate something and plan to write it off, you can’t get anything in return – not even the raffle tickets. In order to receive the raffle tickets or be able to write off your donation, you will need to complete a donation form which will be by the table next to the donation box!
