SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of May 7, 2018
A Note From Our Principal:
The countdown to our Jogathon this Friday is on! PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR JOGATHON PERMISSION SLIP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. An extra permission slip can be found attached to this SAM. Kids and volunteers should wear shorts/leggings, sport socks, good running athletic shoes for the track, and a t-shirt. The official Jogathon t-shirt will be handed out in class Friday morning before the bus transports the students to Jesuit High School.
Our collective goal this year is $40,000, and the #EverythingIsAwesome Jogathon is the last major fundraising event of 2017-2018. The easiest way to collect pledges is through Pledgestar on www.pledgestar.com/SJF. Log on to push new invites, track pledges, or resend emails to new sponsors or reminders to those who haven’t yet responded.
To help you get your body loaded up on carbs for the big jog, we have teamed up with Raul’s Family Mexican Restaurant for dinner tonight! From 3-9 pm, SJF will receive 20% of TOTAL PROCEEDS from all customers towards the Jogathon. So load up on carbs and take out your friends and family!
Parent Run Friday Morning: For $25, parents can run the 100-meter pre-race or sponsor another parent and warm up the Jesuit High School track before the official race begins. To register and win prizes, email Carey Hunt or talk to a Jogathon Committee member at school drop-off.
Huge thanks to our $1000+ Master sponsors – Adidas, Grove Custom Homes and Fred Shearer & Sons – plus Chanel Shavers Re/Max Equity Group and Ashley Donkin/Equity Mortgage for arming every student with a water bottle. $200+ Tent Innovation sponsors include AJC Consulting, Craig Miller Law, Cathy Merz Insurance, Jay’s Wide Shoes, Northwest Women’s Clinic, and Perlo Construction, Thanks also to our $100+ Prize Sponsors: Oregon Eye Specialists and Pacific Residential Mortgage.
To wrap up our Friday festivities, we will have our annual Talent Show starting at 1pm in the school gym. With over 35 acts displaying their talents, you won’t want to miss out on the fun! See you there!
Finally, I would like to wish all moms a Happy Mother’s Day! May you enjoy the upcoming weekend with your family!

MEN’S CLUB ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Friday, May 18 – Red Tail Golf Center

To make participation even easier this year, we’ve scheduled the start of check-in just minutes after school drop-off (8:20). This is a co-ed event. So ladies, get your foursomes together and signup. This year we’ve even added a prize for “Best Women’s Group”.
Your foursome doesn’t have to consist of only SJF’ers. All are welcome to join us, so if you have family, coworkers or friends outside of the SJF community who might like to play, bring them along! This is a four person team scramble format, and includes various contests such as Best Men’s Group, Best Women’s Group, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin.
Post event awards ceremony at The Stock Pot. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available for $500, which includes one player’s entry fee and hole signage. For complete information on sign up and sponsorship please contact Craig Miller, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 503.347.8417.

NEW PHONE FOR EXTENDED CARE
We have completed the school phone system upgrade. With our additional lines, we were able to add an extended care phone extension versus them having their own phone line! Therefore, if you need to reach our extended care program, please call the main school number at (503) 246-3234 and extended care is at extension 35. The old mobile number for the program will be disconnected at the end of May.
