A Note from the Principal:

Happy National Catholic Schools Week! On behalf of the entire SJF faculty and staff, I would like to thank you for your commitment to your child’s Catholic education. Additionally, Archbishop Sample has put together a message for our parishioners regarding the importance of Catholic Schools. God is good all the time! As a mom of children in Catholic education myself, I recognize the time and financial commitment it takes to be an active member of the school and larger parish community. I wholeheartedly believe that the investment you make in your child’s educational career creates the platform for not only their academic foundation, but more importantly a solid spiritual foundation. Hearing from our graduates who just finished their finals in high school these past 2 weeks to touring a graduate who is getting ready to send their first-born to SJF next year, I am continually reminded of how well our school continues to follow our mission of educating the whole child. Thank you for being part of our family!

Speaking of family, we are looking forward to welcoming hundreds of family and friends to our Grandparents and Special Friends Day tomorrow, Wednesday, January 30th. Visitors are welcome to come to the school starting at 9:40am to pick up their SJF student. Students not picked up by 9:55 will head to the church with their homeroom teacher. Our festivities begin at 10am with Mass in the church. Following Mass, we will invite our guests to come and enjoy lunch in our cafeteria, take a tour of our school to see the artwork around the halls, and visit our book fair in the library.

This Thursday is our “Crazy Accessory Day.” In celebration of the Super Bowl this Sunday, we thought it would be fun to make it a “Super Bowl/Football” free dress too! Remember, Mrs. Mannion’s son, Sean Mannion, will be playing for the Rams on Sunday so LA Ram blue and yellow are preferred, but any football team gear is good for this spirit day 🙂

Enjoy Catholic Schools Week!
