Fundraising packets went home with the students last Friday. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our PE/Health Teacher, Mr Michael Rittman, at mrittman@sjfschool.org

  • Thursday, February 28th PTC General Meeting: The meeting will begin at 6:30 and topics include updates on our feature PTC events such as our Auction and Cinco de Mayo Community Dinner and the 2019-2020 school budget. See you there!

  • Wednesday, March 6th Ash Wednesday: Lent begins and our 5th grade students will be leading us through the Mass at 8:30am. All are welcome!

  • Tuesday, March 7th Literacy Fair: Our students will be showcasing their Language Arts skills during this fair open to all friends and family of SJF. The event will begin at 6:30pm and will conclude by 7:30pm.

M.U.S.E. BAND FEBRUARY NEWS

Dear Band Parents,

I’ve been so happy about the progress of my band students at St. John Fisher. Learning an instrument takes time and effort. The benefits of this process are extremely rewarding. It goes beyond music!! I tell my students that when playing a musical instrument they are actually doing about 8 things at the same time. The whole brain, not just parts of the brain, are lighting up and firing on all cylinders!!

I look forward to our annual Winter Concert coming up this next Saturday at Central Catholic High. In addition to your child’s performance, the students and parents will have the opportunity to hear the M.U.S.E. Honor Band and the Central Catholic High Jazz Band. I sure hope you can make this. We have been preparing hard.

Achievement Awards

I want to take this moment to acknowledge a few students for their outstanding efforts in class and at home.
