Cost is $25 for supplies, and any leftover funds will be donated to a charity the kids choose. The first meeting is Wednesday, March 20 th . Following meetings will be April 10th and 17th, and May 1st and 8th. At least three parent volunteers are needed each session, and more are welcome. To sign up please contact Michelle Benjamin at .

Dear Band Parents,

I’ve been so happy about the progress of my band students at St. John Fisher. Learning an instrument takes time and effort. The benefits of this process are extremely rewarding. It goes beyond music!! I tell my students that when playing a musical instrument they are actually doing about 8 things at the same time. The whole brain, not just parts of the brain, are lighting up and firing on all cylinders!!

I look forward to our annual Winter Concert coming up this next Saturday at Central Catholic High. In addition to your child’s performance, the students and parents will have the opportunity to hear the M.U.S.E. Honor Band and the Central Catholic High Jazz Band. I sure hope you can make this. We have been preparing hard.

Achievement Awards

I want to take this moment to acknowledge a few students for their outstanding efforts in class and at home.
