St. John Fisher is a Catholic school that strives to enable the child to develop as a whole person: spiritually, morally, academically, socially, physically and culturally. Its purpose is to provide a quality, student-centered education to the youth of our parish, as well as to others in the community who attend.
We value the role of the family as the primary educators of their children in partnership with the school and church community. The message of our Lord Jesus Christ as believed and communicated by the Catholic church is the underlying principle upon which all aspects of school life are based. We believe that worship is a natural response to our faith, as well as a necessary means of developing a Christian community. We recognize that service to others is an integral part of Christ’s message of respect, helpfulness, kindness and giving. We foster in our students a sense of responsibility toward our school, parish, civic and world communities in order to prepare them to take a Christ-like role in society.
The faculty and administration of St. John Fisher School encourage all of our students to recognize, develop and use their God-given gifts. Through high academic standards, we inspire in them a desire to become independent, life-long learners. We believe in fostering an environment that promotes a sense of personal integrity, character and responsibility.
An enthusiastic parent and parish community supports the mission of St. John Fisher School, as evidenced through countless volunteer hours and personal involvement. This sense of commitment and dedication help make our school one of the finest in the state.
All faculty members either meet or exceed state certification requirements and several holds one or more master's degrees. There are full or part-time instructional assistants in classrooms, K-4, in order to serve more fully the learning needs of our students.
The current enrollment is 220 students. 75% are Catholic and 25% are of other faiths. Students benefit from instructional specialists in the areas of computer, music, band, art, reading, Spanish and library/study skills.
Our school has made a commitment to serve the families of our community by offering strong academic and co-curricular programs as part of values and faith-based education. To assist the lifestyles of our families, the school also provides a full-day Kindergarten, as well as an excellent before and after school Extended Care Program.
