We look forward to seeing families on Thursday, August 31st from 2:30-4:00 pm at our Uniform Sale/Exchange (for all students) and Supply Drop Off (for students in grades 1-8. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO - Everything You Wanted To Know Summer SAM #3 - 08-17-2023 A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL When you arrive at campus you will notice new safety yellow concrete bollards that will have a cable extending from one side to the other secured with a combination padlock. For safety and security, we will begin to lock the entrances to our campus in the evening. The entrance from Vermont will be open from 7am - 6pm Monday through Friday and the entrance from 45th will be open from 7am - last person is on campus (evening). We will distribute the padlock combination to our faculty, staff and frequent volunteers such as SAC/PTC Exec members and CYO coaches.

It’s hard to believe we only have a few days left in our 2022-23 academic year! We have been more than blessed and are excited for a summer of rest so that we can come back ready to learn and grow yet again. As I reflect back on this past year, I want to extend a huge “Thank You” to Father Richard Thompson, the faculty, staff, students and their families for an amazing school year! Each day has brought new adventures for us all and I cannot wait to see all that 2023-24 will bring for our parish and school community. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO - Everything You Want to Know Week of June 5, 2023 FROM THE PRINCIPAL: As we head towards the final days of the school year, here are a few events you will want to have on your calendar: Monday, June 12th: Field Day from 8:45am-11:15am: students have athletic free dress and we encourage them to bring a change of clothes since many of the stations involve water and it looks to be nice and warm! Our 8th grade vs faculty volleyball game will be at 2:00pm in the gym (or outside - weather permitting) and we wrap up the day with the 8th grade clap out at 3:00pm.

It appears the sunny weather will be sticking around for Friday’s festivities so here are a few important reminders for the big day: Students will jog/walk for 30 minutes each. Our fifth grade spirit committee, led by Mrs. Dolan, created an excellent cheer, led us in a “repeat after me” cheer, organized a friendly egg relay competition and got us in the mood for a great event coming up on Friday, May 19th. Additionally, 3 of our 3rd graders performed an original SJF spirit song - thanks Maren, Fiona and Alaina!

This year we are performing Fiddler on the Roof! This production, led by our “Matchmaker,” Mr. Don Vecchione has over 30 students participating and is sure to be a show-stopper. You don’t have to be a “Richman” to attend - the show is FREE! Additionally, you don’t have to go “Far From the Home I Love” as the production is done in our school gymnasium on the stage. See you all there next Tuesday or Wednesday night!
