SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Want to Know
Week of January 30, 2023
FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
Happy National Catholic Schools Week! On behalf of the entire SJF faculty and staff, I would like to thank you for your commitment to your child’s Catholic education. As a mom of children in Catholic education myself, I recognize the time and financial commitment it takes to be an active member of the school and larger parish community. I wholeheartedly believe that the investment you make in your child’s educational career creates the platform for not only their academic foundation but more importantly a solid spiritual foundation. Thank you for being part of our family!
We are looking forward to the many events we have planned for this week:
Wednesday, Feb 1:
Grandparent/Special Friends Day! Please RSVP HERE.
Visitors are welcome to come to the school starting at 9:30am to pick up their SJF student. Our campus will have activities such as student work displayed in the halls, a book fair in the old cafeteria downstairs and coffee and donuts in our Corrado Family Center. At 10:30am we welcome all to attend our school Mass in the church. Following Mass, we will invite our guests to return their student to their class to resume the remainder of the day (concluding at 2:05pm - typical Wednesday dismissal).
Thursday, Feb 2:
Cardinal Spirit Week assembly at 11am

Friday, Feb 3:
Teachers will have a faith formation inservice-there is no school for students
In closing, here’s a prayer from the National Catholic Educational Association:
Almighty God,
You sent forth your Son as a beacon of hope for all people.
As a Teacher, He has given us the prime example of the importance of education. As disciples, we look to him for inspiration and strength.
Thank you for the many people who have dedicated their lives in service to our Catholic Schools.
Thank you for the teachers and administrators who sustain our schools.
Thank you for the parents who have given support and witness to the importance of Catholic education.
Thank you for the students who work hard to further their education. Bless all our Catholic Schools and the many people who advance our mission.
May our schools be a home for those who seek to grow in openness, faith, love, intellect and commitment to justice.
In your name, we pray. Amen.
