SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 02-17-25
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
It feels like we had an unscheduled “Winter Break” thanks to the snow days last Thursday and Friday, the Presidents’ Day holiday yesterday, and now our Teacher Inservice Day today. Believe me when I say the faculty and staff are just as excited as you are about having the students back tomorrow!
As we head into this week, I have the honor of attending the HOSA State Competition with our 7th and 8th grade HOSA elective students. This competition brings together representatives from all over the state to share their knowledge of the healthcare field. Our students, guided by our faculty advisor Mrs. Jennifer Willits, have been working hard preparing for their exams and their presentations since September. I truly wish them all good luck and thank Mrs. Willits for her hard work preparing the students for this state competition. To learn more about this dynamic elective, feel free to head to the Oregon HOSA website at https://oregonhosa.org/.
Finally, I would like to celebrate our 7th and 8th grade students that will be receiving their confirmation this Saturday at 10am at Holy Trinity. Our entire community is welcome to join in their sacrament of initiation as they strengthen their faith.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
THANK YOU FAMILIES! We have had an excellent turn out for our playground duty assignments this year! It truly is a huge help for our faculty, staff and children as it ensures we have proper safety protocols in place and allows you the opportunity to see your child in an unstructured environment with their friends. As we approach the final half of the school year, there are a few weeks where we could use assistance, including next Monday, 2/24. To volunteer, please reach out to Holly Hunt at [email protected]. Volunteering for additional playground duties count towards your overall Family Volunteer Requirement of 30 hours per year (20 for new families).
FREE INFANT CPR CLASS
Attention Middle School Students!
Attached is a flyer for a free infant CPR class for caregivers happening this Friday, February 21st! If you are interested, particularly if you babysit, feel free to register via the QR code on the flyer.
LENTEN RICE BOWLS
CRS Rice Bowl is Catholic Relief Services’ Lenten program for families and faith communities in the United States who want to bring Lent to life. Through CRS Rice Bowl, faith communities in dioceses throughout the United States put their faith into action through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Lenten alms save lives.
Donations made through CRS Rice Bowl support the work of CRS in more than 100 countries each year. This year, donations will most especially assist the people of Uganda, El Salvador, and Indonesia who are working to overcome hunger and adapt to the effects of climate change. Seventy-five percent of your donations go to help CRS in its work around the world while 25% will stay in our diocese, supporting hunger and poverty alleviation efforts. Since its inception in 1975, CRS Rice Bowl has raised nearly $300 million.
