SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Want to Know
Week of March 14, 2022
FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
Inspired by the faculty and students wanting to create a service project for those in Ukraine, tomorrow we will have a free-will offering “blue and yellow” dress day. Students are welcome to bring in any monetary amount in exchange for wearing blue and yellow and all funds will be donated to Caritas Internationalis, an organization that Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is supporting during this time. Here’s one appeal that CRS prepared together with Caritas Moldova:
Caritas Moldova’s Caritas Internationalis Emergency Appeal includes eight collective shelters in and around the capital and the development of apartment-based accommodation: https://www.
The video clip above is very meaningful and age appropriate for all students so feel free to share with your child to give context around this service project. Cash or checks made out to St. John Fisher School is preferred as we will be sending 1 check on behalf of the school.
As we look ahead to the 2022-23 academic year, our registration process is solid with full classes anticipated for grades 2nd - 8th and limited openings in kindergarten and 1st grade. The School Advisory Council finance team and our School Advisory Council have been working hard these past months to finalize our 2022-23 budget. When creating the budget, we wanted to ensure that we were maintaining all the excellent academic programs currently in place, maintain appropriate compensation packages for our faculty and staff and provide the supplemental programs necessary to ensure the success for all our students.
Here are the tuition rates for 2022-23:
In Parish: $8,250 per student
Out of Parish: $10,750 per student
Additionally, to cover the cost of our hot lunch and summer camp programs, our summer camp program will cost $225 per week and hot lunch will increase by $0.50 beginning next school year ($4.25 per meal and $5.50 for extra entree). If you would like additional information regarding the budget, please see the attached powerpoint and/or feel free to contact me at [email protected].

LOST & FOUND
Please come take a look at the Lost & Found closet. We have accumulated a lot of stuff this winter, including water bottles, cinch sacks, jackets, uniform pieces, and more! Unclaimed items go to Goodwill for spring break.
HOT LUNCH ORDERS
Don’t forget to order for next week by tonight, the menu closes Wednesday mornings and the chefs do not accept late orders. Please remember that the menu is closing weekly now so if you forget to order for your student(s) it is only for 1 week instead of the entire month. If you order hot lunch your student, salad bar is INCLUDED. There is no need to also order the salad bar. Only order Salad Bar Only (No Entrée) if your student only wants to get food off the salad bar and not the entrée provided. When your student comes through the hot lunch line to get their name checked off for Salad Bar Only, they also have the option for the desert that day. Please remember when ordering that the Quantity box should only be blank or 1. If your student wants doubles, then also put a 1 in the Extra Entrée box.
PIZZA – students will only receive TWO slices of pizza so please do not try to order 3 slices by ordering 1 Pizza and 1 Pizza x2. Trust us, they do not have time to eat more than 2 slices of pizza. If the students are still hungry, there are plenty of healthy options available on the salad bar.
PLEASE double check each week that you have ordered hot lunch for your student(s) and not assume you did. We have several students come through the line with parents that assume that they signed up but had forgotten to.
