A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL

The countdown is on for what looks to be an absolutely beautiful week! To help keep us all organized, here’s a summary of the upcoming events for the week:

• Thursday, 5/16: Dinner Night Out

  • Dinner Night Out at Burgerville! Please bring the attached flyer (or have a photo of it with you) to the Burgerville at 9385 SW Allen Blvd from 4pm -8pm and proceeds from your order will go directly to SJF School.

• Friday, 5/17: Jogathon, Talent Show and Community BBQ

  • Last call for Jogathon pledges! Make sure to use your  PledgeStar account! Our goal is $55,000 which is just $350 per family!

  • Jogathon in the morning on the lower field with athletic free dress for all students The running times for the classes are:

    • PreK, K & 1: 8:45-9:15

    • 2 & 3: 9:20-9:50

    • 4 & 5: 9:55-10:25

    • 6 & 7: 10:30-11:00

    • 8 last lap: 11:05-11:35 

  • Athletic Free Dress Guidelines: Shorts should not be higher than 3 inches above the knee. Tank tops and tops that do not fully cover the stomach are not allowed

  • Talent Show in the gym from 1pm - 3pm

  • Community BBQ on lower blacktop and playground from 3pm - 6pm. To help us plan enough food, drinks and activities, please RSVP HERE.

    • We do NOT have after care on this day due to the community BBQ

• Monday, 5/20: Spring Spirit Wear Order Due

Parents, in addition to the reminders that are in the SAM each week, you can access the Playground Duty calendar on your FACTS Family Portal under Resource Documents. Playground duty is from 11:25am -1:00pm. On your assigned day, please check in at the school office first, and then head to the Corrado Family Center. If there is a conflict with your scheduled playground duty date, please notify Holly Hunt, our playground duty coordinator, as far in advance as possible so that she can reschedule your duty. Thank you for your help in the lunchroom and on the playground.

BURGERVILLE COMMUNITY DINNER NIGHT - Thursday 5/16

This Thursday take the night off from cooking dinner and help raise money for SJF at Burgerville! 

From 4-8pm at the Allen / Scholls Burgerville location, we will earn 20% of the sales made by anyone showing the attached flier (even a digital photo on your phone will work!)

Orders made in-person or the drive-thru must show either a paper or digital copy of the attached flier in order for SJF to get credit

If ordering ahead on the Burgerville App, use the promo code STJOHNFFISHER  and we will get credit for the order. 

Dine in, Drive through, order ahead....just make your way to Burgerville on Thursday evening! Please share with family and friends, too! Thank you!

 

OBOB CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Last week, SJF’s 4th/5th grade OBOB team hosted the championship competition. Our teams were on fire! Here are the scores:

SJF: 201

Cathedral: 150

SPRING SPIRIT WEAR - ORDERS DUE 5/20

The 2024 Spring Spirit Wear collection can be ordered through Monday, 5/20 at sjfspirit.com! 

- New product line featuring brand new designs, including our first collection of headwear!

- Brand new colorway of Friday Uniform tee to add to your students' Friday wardrobe (grey and   navy Friday Uniform tee can still be worn, this is an additional option).

- Additions to the middle school P.E. uniforms that can be worn this year and next.

- Select leftover sizes from the first Spirit Wear launch available for purchase (while supplies last).

END OF YEAR FITNESS ASSESSMENTS

Mrs. Wiest is needing some PE volunteers on May 29th and May 30th for end of the year fitness assessments.  On Wednesday, May 29th she needs help from 8:20-10:05 and on Thursday, May 30th from 8:15-1:30 (with a break from 12:20-1:00).
