We are looking forward to welcoming our middle school families at our Back to School Night tomorrow (9/11) at 6:30pm and our PreK - 5th Back to School Night is next Wednesday (9/18) at 6:30pm. Both evenings begin at 6:30pm. Highlights of our evening include:

This Friday is our HOSA Bingo Night! This fun event serves as a fundraiser to help support our HOSA club to compete at the Leadership Conference (formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America). HOSA is an international career and technical student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education. The mission of HOSA is to empower HOSA - Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience. This family friendly evening begins at 6pm with prizes, raffle and food. Advanced Presales can be found HERE. See you there!
For housekeeping this week, I would like to let you know about our Extended Care program! As a working mom myself, I know how important it is to provide quality and consistent care before and after school for the students of St. John Fisher School. Directed by Mr. Drew Boyer and supported by our lead teachers Carrie McCarthy, Marge Meneghello and Caitlin Sutherland, our program follows all regulations set forth by the Children’s Care Division of the State of Oregon. Our goal is to provide students with a positive atmosphere where they will have opportunities to continue their learning through hands-on activities and recreational fun. Additionally, for those students with homework, a designated staff member will assist students in completing their assignments.
The hours of extended care are Monday through Friday from 7:00am until opening (K - 8th only) and after school until 6:00pm (PreK - 8th). Additionally, we provide care on both half and full day professional development days, such as the upcoming teacher inservice on Friday, October 11th. If you have any questions regarding the program, feel free to contact Drew Boyer at [email protected].
