A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Tonight parents are welcome to join our Cardinal Club for fun and engagement in the SJF School Community. We are a social club that meets monthly to plan PTC events such as Oktoberfest, The Christmas Bazaar, Week of Giving & Jogathon. Cardinal Club is an extension of the PTC and volunteer hours may be claimed for participation.
Speaking of events the Cardinal Club helps organize, the SJF Community Oktoberfest, put on jointly by Cardinal Club and Men's Club, is this Saturday, Sept. 28 from 5:30-7:30pm. This family-friendly event will be outdoors with tons of activities. (if it rains it will move to the Corrado Family Center & Gym). Meals may be pre ordered HERE (preferred) or purchased at the event. Drinks are available for purchase at the event. Activities for the evening include:

Other yard & outdoor games
Kinder Crafts such as pretzel necklace making

PLAYGROUND DUTY:
Playground duty is from 11:25am - 1:00pm. If there is a conflict with your scheduled playground duty date, please notify Holly Hunt, our playground duty coordinator, as far in advance as possible so that she can reschedule your duty. Thank you for your help in the lunchroom and on the playground.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Health Day: A few more volunteers are needed for the health screenings this coming Friday morning (9/27). Please contact Christy Meade if you are able to help with this fun activity.
Art Literacy: Art Literacy is looking for volunteers to bring art education to SJF. We have most classes covered, but we still need an art lead for 6th grade. Lead three pre-planned lessons throughout the year, with plenty of guidance and a fun crew. If you're interested in assisting in another K-8 grade, we can find a spot for you!

VALLEY CATHOLIC CYO VOLLEYBALL NIGHT
Come cheer on the Valiants tonight at 6:00pm. Free admission to CYO volleyball players in their team shirts.
OCTOBER EXTENDED CARE
It’s not too early to sign up for October extended care coverage. The signup calendar for next month is attached to this SAM, and is also on your FACTS Family Portal under Resource Documents and at the Cardinal Corner next to the school office.
