SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 09-25-23
A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Our first service project of the year is this Friday - “Aloha Free Dress Fundraiser” for the Hawai’i Catholic Community Foundation. We were inspired and moved by the story of Sacred Hearts School and their account of the fires on the Island of Maui this past August. You can find the story HERE. As you can see, our service project benefits a church and school similar to ours so it’s a great way to help the children understand the concept of charity and helping those in need. Any donation is accepted in exchange for free dress this Friday.
Maria Lanakila Church, the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue, and half of Sacred Hearts School remain standing after the devastating fire.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: SJF ART LITERACY PROGRAM
It’s not too late to get involved: Art Lit reps are still needed for grades K, 6, and 7.
Bring art education to the students of St. John Fisher! Through the Art Literacy program, we introduce famous artists, art movements, and artistic elements in the classroom - the students have a great time, as do the volunteers. If you're looking for a creative way to earn your volunteer hours this year, Art Literacy is for you! No art background or experience necessary. For questions or to volunteer, contact Kristin King at [email protected].
