SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 10-07-24
A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Conferences are right around the corner (Thursday, 10/24 and Friday, 10/25). These dedicated days provide valuable time for us to follow our mission in partnering with families. To help with scheduling appointments, we will be using Google Forms to have families sign up for their conference time(s). Conference sign up links for all teachers will be sent via email this Wednesday, 10/9 at 6pm to allow families the opportunity to sign up after working hours. Please complete your conference sign up by noon next Wednesday, 10/16.
In an effort to put a concentrated focus on our Catholic virtue of serving others, our school participates in a number of service project opportunities throughout the year. This fall and winter, we have 3 service opportunities planned. Our first service project opportunity will be next Friday, October 18th when we host a “Free Dress Fundraiser.” For a free-will offering, students may come in free dress this day and all funds raised will go to Catholic Charities Hurricane Helene Response Fund. Additionally, we will utilize time in the classroom to pray for those affected by the hurricanes that have hit the southeast. Our second service project is sponsored by our middle school leadership elective and is called “High 5 For Ronald McDonald House.” This project will occur the first and second week of November. In December, our school supports our local St. Vincent de Paul food drive that feeds hundreds of individuals in SW Portland. Students have the opportunity to donate food, box food and/or deliver the food. Thanks for your support in following the example of Christ and helping those in need.

Additionally, many of the prayer activities were developed by our own Deacon Scott Kolbet. The students and chaperones had a wonderful time learning, praying and playing together!
