As we enter the third week of Advent, we have many events that help us prepare our minds and hearts for the celebration of Christmas. Tonight is our parish reconciliation service at 6:30pm. Tomorrow night at 5:30pm is our PreK-4th grade/Glee Club/Band Christmas program in our church. Students are asked to report to their classroom at 5:10pm and are encouraged to wear their “Sunday Best” with Christmas accessories. This event is fun for all ages so feel free to invite your family/friends.
Wednesday marks the end of our St. Vincent de Paul food drive. Your food donations are so greatly appreciated as our organization feeds a couple hundred families in our local Southwest Portland community. The 7th and 8th grade students will be helping our St. Vincent de Paul group put together the food boxes this Thursday and Friday for delivery on Saturday. If you are interested in helping pack boxes, feel free to join us this Friday night at 6:30pm in the Corrado Family Center. Father Valentine will bless the food on Saturday morning at 9:45am and delivery will begin shortly after the blessing. Thanks again for your generous donations in service to our greater Southwest Portland community.
