SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Want to Know
Week of November 1, 2021
FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
This week we start our first service project of the year, “High 5” for St. Jude’s. Each student is encouraged to bring in at least $5.00 to benefit St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital. St. Jude treats the toughest childhood cancers and pediatric diseases while never billing families for medical and travel expenses. This project will run from Monday, November 1st to Wednesday, November 24th. Each class has an individual goal based on their enrollment. For example, Kindergarten has a goal of $85.00 (17 students at $5.00 a piece), while 4th-grade has a goal of $130.00 (26 students at $5.00 a piece). Every class that meets their goal will receive a special treat the week before Christmas break. Thank you to Mr. Vecchione and our middle school Leadership elective for organizing this service project for our community.

CHRISTMAS PROGRAM NEWS
Now that Halloween has passed, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas! SJF will be performing a LIVE Christmas program on Wednesday, December 15. To help ensure social distancing, we have divided the evening’s performances into 2 sections:
Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade and Glee: 5:00pm
1st grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade and Band: 6:15pm
Families are allowed to bring 4 guests to this event (not including their children) and masks will be required. Students are encouraged to wear their best holiday attire or the SJF uniform. Looking forward to celebrating the holidays with you!
AUCTION NEWS
Thank you for all the ‘boo-ing” you did leading up to Halloween. The auction made $1400 while we all had a lot of fun! Be sure to head over to the auction website for updated volunteer information and all the details on the Travel Raffle to Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. Tickets for this raffle go on sale Nov. 22!
CARLINE ETIQUETTE
Thanks for your patience with the car line yesterday due to All Saints Mass releasing later than a typical Mass. We wanted to send a friendly reminder about not using the St Luke’s access unless there is a legitimate line in our driveway all the way to the street. We want to be good neighbors to both those on 45th and Vermont, and St. Lukes.
