A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

In preparation for the end of the second trimester this Friday and spring break right around the corner, we have a number of events happening at St. John Fisher during the next two weeks that I wanted to bring to your attention:

• Literacy Fair: PreK through Eighth grade students will be proudly displaying projects they have completed for family and friends from 2:00-3:05pm on Thursday, March 13th. Friends and family are invited to this fun event showcasing our students' work.
• St. Patrick’s Day Festivities: In the spirit of St. Patrick, our Men’s Club will be hosting a traditional St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Thursday, March 13th at 7pm.  All dads, grandparents and friends (over 21 years old please) are welcome to come. Additionally, students are welcome to wear “Green” free dress on Monday, March 17th in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
• Burgerville Night: If you are looking for a non-traditional meal for St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th, Burgerville has generously offered to donate proceeds from 4pm - 8pm to SJF. See flyer attached for details.
• Ms. Rodgers - Principal for the Day: A new sheriff will be in the office on Tuesday, March 18th. Ms. Georgia Rodgers will be planning a few fun events for the school, including PJ Free Dress, on this day. 
• “Cardinal Chat”: Similar to a “State of the School” address, our SAC and PTC Exec will be presenting an update to our strategic plan on Tuesday, March 18th. We will meet at 6:30pm in the Corrado Family Center.
• Incoming Kindergarten Craft Activity Hour: On Tuesday, March 18th we welcome our incoming kindergarten class to join in a craft activity with our PreK, kindergarten and Academic Support team from 2:15-3:15pm. Parents are welcome to stay and mingle with parents in the Corrado Family Center.
• Second Trimester Report Card Distribution: Report cards will be sent home with students on Thursday, March 20th. 
• Men’s Club Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast: On Sunday, March 30th, our Men’s Club will be putting together a pancake breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt, beginning after the 9am Mass.

PLAYGROUND DUTY: 

Playground duty is from 11:25am - 1:00pm. If there is a conflict with your scheduled playground duty date, please notify Holly Hunt, our playground duty coordinator, as far in advance as possible so that she can reschedule your duty. Thank you for your help in the lunchroom and on the playground.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 

To help us get into the Easter season, our Men’s Club is hosting a traditional Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, 3/30. To assist with volunteering, please click HERE for the sign up genius (code: SJFEaster25)

Additionally, if you are looking for volunteer opportunities in the evening, consider assisting with concessions during musical performances on Wednesday, 4/2 and Thursday, 4/3 (5:30 - 7:30pm). Please reach out to Jennifer Willits([email protected]) to volunteer.

FR. VALENTINE DAILY REFLECTION VIDEOS

In addition to his weekly reflections on the Sunday Readings, Father Valentine is posting a daily video on the readings of Lent. The videos can be found on our parish website HERE and are a wonderful way to spend a few minutes in reflection with Father through Lent.

Sunday, March 30, 2025: Great way to finish up spring break!

CYO TRACK & FIELD UPDATE - REGISTRATION STILL OPEN
 It's time to register for the Spring 2025 SJF Track & Field Season! This is a great opportunity for kids to run, jump, and throw for fitness and fun.  Athletes of all skill levels are welcome to develop and compete on a large team.

The registration fee is $240 per participant (LATE FEE: $290 Effective 4/2/2024)

If necessary, depending on current inventory: Uniform order link will be sent to registrants at a later date.

Practices will be at Valley Catholic High School on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00-7:30 pm

Meets are on four Saturdays beginning April 5th plus the championship meets on May 10 (younger grades) and May 17-18 (older grades).
