SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 04-14-25
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
This past Sunday Holy Week began with Palm Sunday. As we enter the Triduum this Thursday, the three days celebrating the Paschal Mystery of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, it is a time of reflection and celebration. As you look ahead to your Holy Week plans, the events at St. John Fisher Parish include:
Please note there are no morning Masses on Holy Thursday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday.
As we head into Holy Week, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to some phenomenal faculty that will be leaving SJF at the end of this school year: Sr. Julie Doan, Third Grade Teacher, has been called to serve her community as the councilor of the leadership team for the Sisters of St. Mary Oregon and Mrs. Margaret Burd, Teacher Librarian, will be retiring after 22 years of teaching. Special thanks to these amazing educators and we will keep you posted as we enter the hiring process.
Enjoy Holy Week!

Additional information, including the link to purchase tickets, is on the attached flyer.
HEAD FOR THE CURE 5K
As some of you know, SJF mom Lauren Braun has been battling brain cancer for the past three years. Join the Braun family to raise money for brain cancer research by participating in the Head for the Cure Portland 5k run/walk in Gabriel Park on July 27th. Join their team or simply donate to the Brain Train! The organization aims to leave a majority of the funds raised in the Portland community, supporting the Providence Brain and Spine Institute and the Knight Cancer Center/Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
The event is also seeking volunteers! It is a great opportunity for your middle schoolers to get school-approved volunteer hours. Sign up here: https://headforthecure.org/volunteer/
