SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Want to Know
Week of May 16, 2022
FROM THE PRINCIPAL: IT’S JOG-A-THON WEEK!!
This is it, the jogathon is almost here! We are crossing our fingers for some dry weather (dare we even say, sunshine!) for the event!
Here are a few important reminders for the big day:
Students will jog/walk for 30 minutes each. The schedule is as follows - we hope to see as many parents as possible cheering on our students, especially at the 8th graders’ “last lap”!
8:45-9:15: Kindergarten and 1st grade
9:20-9:50: 2nd and 3rd grades
9:55-10:25: 4th and 5th grades
10:30-11:00: 6th and 7th grades
11:05-11:35: 8th grade “last lap”
Students should bring a water bottle and apply sunscreen before coming to school.
Kids are welcome to wear athletic free dress with the following “free dress” guidelines:
All clothing must be clean, presentable, modest and without inappropriate slogans or pictures.
Shorts should be long enough to touch the finger-tip when your hands are relaxed at your side. Shorter shorts should have leggings underneath.
Athletic sweatpants and leggings are allowed. If a student is wearing leggings, their shirt should be long enough to cover the students back-side. Students are also welcome to wear shorts over the leggings.
The morning may be chilly so a sweatshirt / long sleeve tee may be a good idea.
Good running athletic shoes for the field.
Students should get plenty of rest the night before and come to school ready to jog/walk!
Please give your fundraising efforts one last push in advance of the event to make it a success and reach our goal of $55,000! Pledges can be sent out via PledgeStar all the way up until May 20th. You have until May 27th to turn in any cash / checks with your pledge packet.
If you are attending the BBQ After Party from 3-6pm on Friday and should need to change your confirmation, please email [email protected]. Th
And, as always, we would like to recognize and thank our generous sponsors - we couldn’t have done this without you!
