SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of June 3, 2024
A NOTE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
It seems just yesterday we were opening the doors to another school year and now we are in June. As we wind down this academic year, it provides us an opportunity to give thanks to all that have given so much to the school this year:
Our 25 8th grade students have blessed our halls during their time at SJF. As they head their separate ways to high school to start the next chapter in their lives, we hope they return often to keep us updated!
Grayson Bauer, Faith Cadonau, Elise Carter, Sammy Davis, Kiah Dunne, Henry Eder, Clare Eilers, Dane Eldien, Carson Floberg, Brody Katcher, Carolyn King, Emma Lairson, Audri Levesque, James Lindgren, Finn McClaskey, Max Montang, Carter Nissen, Connor Olivier, Henry Pickard, Leo Reed, Corinne Schmidt, Hannah Showalter, Alejandra Vocker, Mac Wallace, and John West
In addition, there are 9 families graduating with their students as well. Thank you so much for all your years of time, talent and treasure!
Mike and Shawna Davis, Jonathan and Margaret Eder, Chad Eldien and Regina Micheline-Eldien, Barry and Jordana Katcher, Ed and Andrea Lairson, Steve and Christi Pickard, Joseph and Amy Reed, Brian Showalter, John West, and Susan West
Six members of our leadership councils are completing their years of service. Thank you for all your hard work guiding our school successfully and helping ensure our strong mission for years to come:
Pat and Erin McClaskey - PTC President Couple
Regina Micheline-Eldien and Christi Pickard - PTC Treasurer
Jill Wantland and Molly O’Neill - SAC Marketing and Development committee
Finally, we will be honoring our 3 retirees with a special retirement Mass on Wednesday, June 12th at 12:45pm. All are welcome to come and celebrate Father Richard, Beth Gould and Kerry Oliver!
Thank you one and all for making this year so successful! Our students truly demonstrated their ability to grow as active Christians, engaged learners and responsible citizens!
Blessings on the final countdown to summer!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Thanks to our amazing Jogathon fundraising, we will be hosting Raul’s lunch this upcoming Wednesday, June 5th. The food should arrive at 11am and we will wrap up with final clean up by 1pm. We are looking for 4-5 volunteers to help with this - think of it as a great way to either wrap up the hours for this year or get a jump start on next year volunteer hours! Please reach out to Nora Jensen at [email protected] to volunteer.
WELCOME MRS. JULIE FRAZIER AND MR. CHINO GUDINO TO SJF!
It’s with great pleasure that we introduce you to two new members of our SJF School Faculty and Staff. Mrs. Julie Frazier is our new Academic Support Coordinator for grades K - 3. Mrs. Frazier holds her degree in special education from Grand Canyon University and is an Associate Level educator through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. She comes with a wealth of experience working with students as an Early Literacy Education Assistant at the Lake Oswego School District and at The Blosser Center for Dyslexia. Welcome Mrs. Frazier!
Mr. Chino Gudino is no stranger to the halls of SJF as he has served the role of Facilities Manager for our parish for a number of years. After honing in on his craft at the church, he’s ready to take on the duties associated with our school facilities and will be our complete St. John Fisher Parish and School Facilities Manager. Welcome to the school side of our campus Mr. Gudino!
