PLAYGROUND DUTY REMINDERS:
Playground duty is from 11:25-1:00. The October 2022 duty calendar is now on your FACTS Family Portal under Resource Documents. On your assigned day, please check in at the school office and then head to the Corrado Family Center! It is important to arrive on time on your scheduled playground duty date. When you don’t show up, three different teachers must give up their lunch periods to cover the primary, intermediate, and middle school lunch recess periods. If you have a conflict with your scheduled duty date, or you are able to help out on a date that needs coverage, please contact our playground duty coordinator, Holly Hunt, at mailto:[email protected]. Thank you for helping our students in the lunchroom and on the playground.

EXTENDED CARE OPEN OCT. 7
Extended Care will be open this Friday, 10/7 from 7-6. The cost is $40 per child. Please register with Susan Robinson if you plan to attend. Please send your child with lunch; snack will be provided.

EXTENDED CARE HELP WANTED
St. John Fisher School extended care is looking for an Activities Leader. This position is part-time, 16 hours a week and Catholic faith is preferred. The ideal candidate should be upbeat, love children, have patience, be flexible, and dependable. You need to qualify under Child Care Division rules and either have or be able to complete: enrollment in the Criminal History Registry, have a current 1stAid/CPR certification, recognizing and reporting abuse certificate, and current food handler's card. HEALTH DAY VOLUNTEERS
Our Health Day crew is still looking for volunteers. Health Day is Friday, 10/21 and we will start right after morning drop off at 8am. We hope to be done in about 2 hours with vision screening for the entire school. Please consider helping this year. Super easy, no experience needed, and it absolutely counts as family volunteer hours. If you can help please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.
“HALL PRAYER” IS BACK!
Each morning our students in grades 1-4 and 5-8 gather in our hallways to begin with prayer led by a faculty, staff or student. Now that we have had a few weeks to get this routine down, we welcome families to join us for our hall prayer at 8:15am each morning.
ST. MARY’S ACADEMY SOCCER NIGHT
Soccer Night at Buckman Field
Join us for the SMA Varsity soccer game against West Linn on Thursday, October 13, 6:15 p.m. at Buckman Field! Admission is FREE. Drinks, snacks, and pom-poms will be available at 5:30 p.m.
CYO CHAMPIONS OF FAITH DINNER
The annual CYO fundraiser will be Oct. 18 at the Oregon Convention Center. This year’s keynote speaker is Steve Beuerlein, former Notre Dame and NFL quarterback. Additional details are on the attached flyer.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL CLINIC
Jesuit High School Women’s Basketball is hosting a fall clinic for girls in grades 3-8. The clinic will take place on four Sundays (10/16, 10/30, 11/13 and 11/20) from 5:30 - 7:00pm. The cost is $50 for all four sessions. Access registration with this link
