SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 11-04-24
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
This week we started our second service project of the year, “High 5” for Ronald McDonald House. Our middle school leadership team chose this service project as they wanted to make an impact for people their own age. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and SW Washington provides access to medical care, a home away from home, and a community of support for seriously ill or injured children and their families. This project will run from Monday, November 4th to Friday, November 15th. Each class has an individual goal based on their enrollment. For example, Kindergarten has a goal of $115.00 (23 students at $5.00 a piece), while 5th-grade has a goal of $130.00 (26 students at $5.00 a piece). Every class that meets their goal will receive a special treat the week before Christmas break. Thank you to Mr. Vecchione and our middle school Leadership elective for organizing this service project for our community.
During this month of November with Thanksgiving around the corner, it’s only fitting to find time to give thanks. To begin, we will be thanking our military personnel during Mass this upcoming Wednesday at 1pm. Family and friends who have served are welcome to join us.
Secondly, our annual Thanksgiving luncheon will be held on Wednesday, November 20th at 11:30am. This tradition brings all classes together to break bread and share in thanks for our great community as we feast on all the fixings of thanksgiving prepared by our Chefs Ken, Kris and Kathleen. Volunteers are welcome to participate with our community so please reach out to Chef Ken at [email protected].
In closing, today we can all be thankful to live in a free country where we get to practice the cornerstone of democracy and the opportunity to vote. Regardless of the outcomes, may we all remain united in our calling to carry out the mission of Christ.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
This Thursday, Nov. 7 we have an extremely large funeral for one of founding parishioners, Mr. Al Corrado. We anticipate 500+ in attendance beginning with a rosary at 10:30am followed by a funeral Mass and reception. Please be sure to send your student(s) with lunch from home. There will not be any hot lunch and students will eat in their classrooms this day.
