SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MEMO
Everything You Wanted To Know
Week of 12-09-24
A NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
The second candle of the Advent wreath is lit this week symbolizing peace. Our students led our Advent Prayer Service on Monday at 8:15 with the theme of “waiting.” Waiting with a purpose, waiting for a reason and waiting in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We send our prayers that you and your family find peace this week and this Advent.
Our local St. Vincent de Paul food drive has begun and extends through Wednesday, December 18th. In an effort to help ensure a variety of foods/toiletries are collected, we recommend donating the following items:
PreK and K: Pasta and toothbrushes
1st and 7th: Brown and white rice and bar soap
2nd and 6th: Canned meat, tuna and shampoo
3rd and 5th: Canned veggies, canned fruit, deodorant
4th and 8th: Soup, chili and toothpaste
Finally, I want to send a HUGE “Thank you” to our SJF Cardinal Club for our Cardinal Christmas this past Saturday! Our Cardinal Club team of elves, led by Molly O’Neill, transformed our school into a winter wonderland complete with hot cocoa, cake walks, goodies to buy/sell and special visitors Santa and Mrs. Claus! Special thanks to our vendors, donors and volunteers for bringing Christmas magic to SJF. What a special way to kick off our holiday season and share the SJF spirit.
